Magnus Jonson is a partner of the dispute specialist law firm Norburg & Scherp. He has worked with dispute resolution, EU and competition law, IP law and marketing law for the past 25 years. Before joining Norburg & Scherp in 2021, he worked as deputy director of the legal department at the Swedish Competition Authority, at leading law firms, as a legal advisor for competition law issues at the Ministry of Industry and as a judge in different courts.
With his extensive experience from work in courts, the government administration, the Competition Authority and law firms, Magnus has a broad and deep understanding of the legal, commercial and political aspects of a dispute. He helps clients with strategic advice, investigations and dispute resolution. Frequently, the issues relate to heavily regulated markets, such as Life Science, and industries where IP rights, such as patents and copyright, are important. He has extensive experience of litigations in different courts, including the EU Court of Justice, and by representing clients before authorities.
